Among the motorcycles displayed by Yamaha at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show you’ll find a unique version the Bolt. This version won’t be launched into production as its only purpose is to show how customizable is Yamaha’s iconic cruiser.
Most of the modifications aimed the style department so you get a blue fuel tank, lower handlebars and a brown seat. The front fork has been also been modified, as well as the rear fender which is now replaced by a sporty tail.
The custom looking Yamaha Bolt is powered by the same air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve, fuel injected, V-twin engine with a displacement of 942 cm3. The engine is fed by a 12 liters fuel tank and is mated to a constant mesh, five speed transmission.
Talking about its project Yamaha said: “With the "BOLT’s" slim and compact chassis and 950cc air-cooled V-twin engine as a base, the "BOLT Café" is a prototype showing an example of how owners can customize the bike to their own tastes. The BOLT’s simplicity and high degree of freedom for many different styles of customization expands the boundaries of enjoyment to be found in garage modification.”
