Bimota DB7 Oro Nero is based around the same basic design as the standard Bimota DB7, but is eight kilograms lighter thank to the front section of the frame, the central section of the swingarm and all of the bodywork being made from carbon fibre. Claimed dry weight is 164kg, compared to 172kg for the standard model

The Bimota DB7 Oro Nero uses the same 1099cc v-twin sourced from Ducati’s 1098, but a more free-flowing exhaust gives an extra 2bhp compared to the DB7, taking power to a claimed 164bhp, giving one horsepower per kilo power to weight ratio.
