The Laverda SFC 1000 Limited Edition will have a high tensile chromium-molybdenum steel tubular lattice frame with refined TIG welding , an aluminium swinging arm, radial brakes, ?hlins suspension all round and an Aprilia RSV derived engine with a close ratio gearbox and a titanium exhaust system.

The engine produces 141bhp @ 10,000rpm and 107Nm at 7,500rpm. The oil tank has been tucked down at the bottom and back of the frame, just in front of the rear wheel to keep the weight low, and the oil cooler has been laid horizontal just behind the front wheel for similar reasons. The cavernous airbox pokes though the fuel tank or rather the fuel tank is ingeniously wrapped around the sides of the airbox, pushing the fuel filler cap to one side for easier refueling on the side stand.

The wheels are ultra light, using the latest aluminium forging technique from Marchesini. There's also carbon, titanium and magnesium bits and pieces. Laverda are allegedly making 549 of them, as they did the original SFC. Available in one colour only  Expect this to be the start of a whole range of exclusive bikes from Laverda.
