Managing to take the 125GP racing title in 2010 with the young Spanish rider Marc Marquez, Derbi decided to celebrate the feat by launching the GPR125 in all-new ‘racing red’ and ‘racing grey’ paint schemes for 2011. Marquez, riding his number 93 Derbi bike, dominated the 2010 season with no less than 10 first places and 12 pole positions.

The title was the twenty-first world title for the Spanish brand that now has nine Manufacturer's world titles and twelve Rider's world titles.

Taken separately, the GPR125 is powered by an advanced liquid-cooled 4-stroke 4v engine developing 15 hp at 9,250 rpm and, according to the manufacturer, boasts the kind of specification you’d normally only see on big capacity sports bikes.

The braking system consists of a 300mm disc with 4-piston radial caliper at the front, backed up by a 220mm disc at the rear.

In addition, the GPR125 also comes with a MotoGP-style multifunction LCD, Derbi GPR125 instrument panel and underslung exhaust, 41mm USD forks and a dual beam aluminum frame. The sharp tail unit boasts an LED rear light as well as removable indicators and number plate bracket for track or race use.
