Laverda 750SF3
This, the final incarnation of the SF theme, saw Laverda attempt to keep the (by now) ageing parallel twin viable in a rapidly changing market-place. The biggest changes concerned the fitment of cast-alloy wheels. Of five-spoke design, these, like the drum brakes of the earlier SF series machines, were manufactured by the Laverda-owned FLAM foundry. At the same time, the rear brake became a disc, again, like the front, a cast-iron 280mm assembly, with Brembo-sourced twin piston caliper. In line with the latest triples . A tail was added to the dual saddle, which was now side-opening. By now, both the instruments and the switchgear were of Nippon-Denso manufacture. |
