Presented at the Milan Show in November 1991, the FY is the latest evolution of the Arrow before his final retirement in early 1993. Unlike the competition, the FY is not 'a version prepared for racing use nor a special limited edition. In 1991 Cagiva Mito had in the list after a discrete period of sales in the second half of 1990 (mainly due to the fact that the faired version came only late October) had literally depopulated during 1991, making him the 125th best-selling year and usually one of the most bike registered in Italy.
The reason for the FY must therefore be sought in Cagiva will give an answer to those seen in the market for 125 absurd nonsense race for ever more powerful and expensive models and call back a sort of gentlemen's agreement between the various manufacturers to reduce costs and performance. Of course the market had a different opinion incredible commercial success of expensive and powerful myth (and its competitors) and 'demonstration of how stupid to think of setting limits imposed from above.
